I am a
science writer with a special interest is in the links between toxins
in our environment and health. I have a master's degree in public
health from the University of California, Berkeley. I learned the craft
of science writing at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Over the years, I have written articles in all areas of science, from
biology to physics. My work ranges from short news articles to long
magazine pieces to online reports for science academies and
foundations. Over the past several years, I've covered environmental
science and health for the print and online publication, The Green
Guide.
I am also a parent, and as such, I know that children are the most
vulnerable members of society when it comes to toxins in our
environment. They are also at the perfect age to absorb lessons about
how to take care of our planet so that they grow up to be leaders that
can put an end to the pollution of our air, water, and land. My new
book, The Green Guide Families: The Complete Reference for Eco-friendly Parents, shows parents what they can do to
better our environment while raising the "greenest" generation.
